Thank You Letter To Co-workers

Whatever your reasons, writing a thank you letter to coworkers can help you improve your worklife. Perhaps you really want to thank someone for a job well done. Or maybe your coworkers helped you through a difficult time and you would like to express your appreciation.

Writing a thank you letter to a coworker truly helps brighten someone's day, and lets your coworker know how much you appreciate what they've done for you.

Examples of when you might want to write a thank you letter to coworkers:

  • You completed a big project, and really want to thank the people who helped you.
  • Someone went out of their way to help you, and you want them to know how much you appreciate their efforts.
  • Your coworkers did something special to help you celebrate an important event in your life (wedding shower, baby shower, birthday).
  • You're leaving the company, and want your coworkers to know how much you appreciate them.

When appropriate, be sure to copy the person's manager so they will know how much the employee went out of their way to help you with something.

Dear Joe,

Just a short note to let you know how much I appreciate your help with the "Big Account" project. With your help, we were able to pull in all the resources we needed to complete the project under budget and two weeks ahead of schedule.

I admire your ability to stay calm under pressure and keep focused on solutions to challenges.

I couldn't have pulled this off without you!

Sincerely,

Mike Smith
