Review Of Penpower Inc. WorldCard Pro Business Card Scanner

This review is for the Penpower Inc. WorldCard Pro business card scanner (WCUPRO1EN). I purchased this business card scanner about three months ago because I was tasked with scanning in roughly 1,000 business cards that my company’s sales team had collected throughout the year at various trade shows and client visits. The goal after they were all scanned in was to import them into Salesforce so that the sales team could begin tracking their leads more efficiently.

If you have ever looked at a stack of 1,000 business cards it is extremely daunting to say the least. Transferring the information from 1,000 business cards into Salesforce manually would literally take so much time that half of the leads would probably have left the company by the time they were loaded into Salesforce. This wasn’t an option so I did some research online and stumbled across the Penpower Inc. WorldCard Pro business card scanner. I took the advice of some solid product reviews that I was able to get online and made the purchase.

A couple of days later I had the business card scanner in my possession and I installed it right away. The installation was very easy and only required a software installation followed by plugging in a USB cable from the business card scanner to my computer. From there things just got easier. I began scanning business cards like a mad man and in just a couple of days I had all 1,000 business cards scanned into a uniform database. The business card scanner extracts the information from the business cards and places it into the necessary fields in the included software (i.e. name, phone number, address, email, etc). At this point this information can all be imported directly into Salesforce and the sales team can start calling on the leads they are assigned to.

One word of advice that I have for you is that you take the time on the front end to train your sales team on how to use the Penpower Inc. WorldCard Pro business card scanner. I say this because this will allow them to install the software on their computer and take the business card scanner to the trade shows and client visits to do all of the scanning immediately as opposed to bringing all of the business cards back and scanning them in later. This reduces the chance of losing important business cards but also allows you to begin marketing to the leads before the trade show or client visit is even over. How’s that for efficiency and response time?

The one negative thing I will point out about the Penpower Inc. WorldCard Pro business card scanner is that some business cards may not have clear enough information for the business card scanner to extract so you may have a couple of things you have to manually fix. However, this one negative isn’t so bad because the included software makes this process very easy. This product literally saves hours, days, and weeks of manual effort. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is interested in being more efficient and also being the office hero when a huge stack of business cards needs to be transferred from paper into the cloud. I hope you found this review helpful. Let me know if you have any questions.
